Baldur by White--Whiskers Baldur by White--Whiskers
This was the painting I did this year for my church's annual Chinese Auction/Dinner Dance.

I am really happy with this came out. I experimented with many different techniques and it came out great. I feel like this is easily one of my best works yet!

It is a Norwegian Forest Cat which is how the name Baldur came about. My mom suggested something Norwegian and so we have a Norse god ^.^

Used: Strathmore vellum bristol paper, crayola educational watercolors, derwent watercolor pencils, white gel pen, and salt.

I'd like to see more of it. I hope you do, so long as you enjoy it.

I do enjoy it! I've just been concentrating a lot lately on nailing a style of drawing people that I've neglected animals. I'm really out of practice so I want to start drawing them again. You'll see some soon hopefully!

Reminds me of that one teacher in Harry Potter movies who turns into a cat like this. I don't know her name.

You mean McGonagal (spelling?) She turns into a short-haired tabby I believe, but close enough. Actually I believe Mrs. Norris, Filch's cat, is the same breed as this...
